Christmas is here!

The start of December marks the start of Advent and the countdown to Christmas!

The children enjoyed decorating the tree and classroom this afternoon. Christmas spirit is definitely alive and well in 3NG!

World Children’s Day

Last week, the children learnt all about their rights. To celebrate 30 years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, we did loads of activities to make sure the children know what their rights are and how they should be met!

Here’s a video and catchy song to make sure you remember!

Children in Need

Friday celebrated Children in Need, where we raised money to help those who are less fortunate than we are.

This year aimed to get children active and we did lots of short bursts of exercise throughout the day!

Keep moving kids!

No Pen Friday

Ahead of our trip to Cadbury World, we learnt all about the legacy of the Cadbury family, looking at particular milestones in the Cadbury story. We created our own timelines, ordering key events.

We also learnt about the importance of cocoa and chocolate to the Aztecs. They even used cocoa beans as currency! We then designed our own Aztec suns.

We are very ready for our trip now!

Geography Enrichment Day

Robin Hood has been extremely busy over the last few weeks, celebrating all sorts of different things!

Our enrichment day was fantastic, learning all about The Alps in different ways. We investigated Google Earth, used Venn diagrams to compare two places by sorting physical and human features and made some incredible birds-eye view boxes of urban Birmingham and the rural Alps.
